As edit producer, I helped to shape four episodes of the Manchester and Liverpool-based series of this intimate, revealing and hugely successful programme. I also interviewed key contributors and worked on location, filming with the ambulance service in the course of their daily work. Series 5 won an RTS (best factual series), and a single episode I worked on received a second award (craft)

Alongside working in the edit, I shot scenes on location, including this incredible moment – all shot on the fly. No time for retakes, no second chances. Observational filmmaking at it’s purest.
